STEM Challenge
MBA students participated in the 2016 STEM+Art Fiesta STEM Challenge and came away with 1st place. In 2017 & 2018, MBA students placed 2nd. The students created a business, built a business plan which included their target market, financial resources, operational plans, key partners and future projections for their product. They presented their ideas to a panel of judges and answered rigorous questions regarding their company. |
Rookie Entrepreneurs
These students participated in our summer bridge program with UTEP's College of Business. They competed with their peers and won 1st place as successful entrepreneurs. MBA students have been participating in UTEP's Rookie Entrepreneur Program since it began in 2014.

Federal Reserve Bank
Each year, senior MBA students have the opportunity to apply for the Federal Reserve Student Board of Directors. Once selected, the student meets monthly to learn about the Federal Reserve and our economy. They give back to the community by educating our youth during financial literacy week.

In Previous Years...
In 2013, Alejandro Jones was the recipient for the Gates Millennium Scholarship. In 2016 Robert Portillo and Lucia Nishizawa-Rodriguez received this prestigious scholarship. Through the years, we have had many finalists.

In 2016 our Dual Credit Accounting students went back to back to win another 1st place at district as a team. Individual results were Dario Beltran 1st place, Myriam Pedroza 2nd place, Monica Guerreo 3rd and Sebastian Vega 9th. In 2015, as a team, they placed 1st. Individual results were Peter Miller 1st place, Daniel Archuleta 2nd place, Roberto Portillo 3rd place and Evelyn Gonzalez 4th place.
